I don't like to label children. I strongly believe that if you give a child a label they tend to live that label. Talk about the behavior instead of labeling the child. This way the child doesn't get low self-esteem. they will feel more positive about themselves. As parents, we need to help build our children's self-esteem up. One way we can do this is by not calling them a special needs child but instead a child with special talents. Let us focus on the strengths of the child and help to lessen the weakness. Have them identify their weaknesses and see what you can do to help. If they have math difficulty get a tutor. If they have wonderful art ability get them art lessens and watch them grow.
